About Us

Welcome to the Support Act UK Family!

We know how important musicians are. We also know how difficult being a professional musician can be.

This is why we are raising money for Help Musicians, a UK charity who offer support to professional musicians in times of both crisis and opportunity.

Support Act UK was formed by two music students in October 2020. The current Covid-19 pandemic had heightened our anxieties for the future of our beloved music industry, and we wanted to do something about it. We needed a way to give back to those in the music industry who give so much of themselves to us - so we started fundraising.

As well as raising money for Help Musicians, we aim to keep the conversation of musicians’ mental health going. This is why we have developed resource lists for musicians and creatives in need, and a “self-care space” blog to encourage and nurture those in the music industry. Our website is our main online hub, where you can find our resources for support alongside merchandise drops and tickets to our latest events.

We are also active on Facebook and Instagram, curating a community of musicians who deeply care about each other’s mental health.
